Each academic semester, the SCAN Lab needs high-achieving, motivated students to help us! Student research assistants will learn how to administer cognitive and psychological assessments and have many opportunities to interact with human subjects. The SCAN Lab believes in a model of education through experience, and our RA program reflects that philosophy. Whether you are planning on applying to graduate school, medical school, or simply are passionate about psychological research, our program is meant to provide a valuable foundation of skills that will be important to future employers and admissions panels.

If you are interested in being a volunteer Research Assistant (RA) with us, please fill out the following inquiry form: https://forms.gle/98zt2k9Jj1cYbxyeA. The assistant manager will contact people for interviews in early October for Spring 2027 RAs, interviews are offered in the order of application, so the sooner you apply the better your chances of interviewing. We hold interviews every semester and over the summer.

There are numerous paid research opportunities and programs available through the University of Arizona. Depending on your department, you may also consider applying into the lab for credit. Consider applying to these programs while also joining our lab.
