Bright Light Study

Study Description

Purpose: The purpose of this research study is to understand how different types of light color may affect alertness, cognitive performance, and how it might be related to melatonin production by the body.

Time Commitment: Participating in this study will involve two visits that will last about 3.5 hours each, separated by one week, at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center.

Study Overview: For this study, participants will complete a series of questionnaires and cognitive tasks, two MRI scans, and provide multiple saliva samples. Participants will also wear a watch-like device that monitors sleep during the week in between the two visits and complete daily sleep surveys.

Compensation: For completion of all study activities, participants may receive up to $100 in total compensation.
